Salme 1 / Hymn no. 1

1. Sabbatsdag, hvor skøn du er,
skabt af Gud, jeg har dig kær.
Kom, o kom, vi end en gang
samles vil til bøn og sang!

2. Endt er ugen. Nu i fred
vi os stille sætter ned
om vor Faders rige bord,
lyttende til nådens ord.

3. Gud, til dig vor hu nu står,
uden dig vi intet får.
Lad dit evangelium
hos os finde hjerterum!

4. Lad i dag dit dyre ord
gøre under her på jord,
vore arme sjæle fød
hyrde god, med livets brød!

5. Kom, og mangt et bytte tag
fra den stærke denne dag.
Søg du selv de arme får,
som langt borte fra dig går!

6. Herre, lad den gode tid
bryde frem, da livets strid
byttes om med sabbatsro! –
Lad os evigt hos dig bo!

1. Mos. 2,3

Joel Blomkvist

Translation into english:

1. Sabbath day of rest and cheer!
Day divine, to me so dear!
Come, O come to old and young,
Gath’ring all for prayer and song.

2. Now the week of toil is o’er,
And in peace we sit once more
At our Father’s ample board,
Listening to His gracious Word.

3. Lord, our God, we seek Thy face,
Bless us with Thy saving grace;
May Thy heralds everywhere
Clear Thy Gospel truth declare.

4. Let Thy mighty Word hold sway
Over men on earth today;
Our poor souls, good Shepherd, feed,
Into pastures green us lead.

5. No translation.

6. May, O Lord, the day be near,
When we pass from trials here
Into Thine eternal rest,
In the mansions of the blest.

Esajas 20,1-6

Isaiah 20:1-6

Salme 2 / Hymn no. 2

1. Loven er et helligt bud,
viser os vor Gud alene
frem for alle ting at tjene
og at ære som en Gud;
intet uden ham at ynde,
ham at elske nat og dag,
intet uden ham begynde,
det er Lovens hovedsag.

2. Deraf og nødvendigt må
følge, som udi en kæde,
at vi skal vor næste glæde
og til hånde gerne gå;
hvad man nu sin Gud vil yde,
som det ikke har behov,
dette skal vor næste nyde
efter kærlighedens lov.

3. Dette bud om kærlighed
stod i Adams hjerte skrevet,
blev ved synden sønderrevet,
da han faldt i døden ned;
lyst at ville, kraft at kunne
holde Lovens varetægt*
gik ved Adams fald til grunde
for den hele Adams slægt.
* bud

4. Da nu hele verden lå
under Herrens dom og vrede,
straffen den var også rede,
som der skulle følge på,
da begyndte Gud at tale
om sin egen kære Søn,
som hans vrede skulle svale
for det ganske Adams køn.**
** slægt

5. Har vi ham, som har betalt,
har vi ham, som fyldest gjorde,
da er Lovens trussel borte,
Jesus har det klaret alt;
ja, han selv os kræfter giver
til at følge Lovens bud,
og Gud Helligånd os driver,
så vor gerning sker i Gud.

Joh. 14,23; Matt. 22,37; Rom. 8,4.

Hans Adolph Brorson 1739

Translation into english:

1. The law is a holy commandment,
show us our God alone
rather than all things to serve
and to honor as a God;
nothing without him to please,
him to love night and day,
nothing without him begin,
That is the law's main point.

2. Hence necessary
follow as in a chain,
that we should our neighbour delight
and gladly help;
what one will now give his God,
as one does not need,
This is what our neighbour will enjoy
according to the law of love.

3. This command of love
written in the heart of Adam,
was torn by sin,
when he fell to death;
Want to, power to be able to
keep the laws commandment
went to ruin with Adam
for the whole of Adam's descendants.

4. Then the whole world was lying
under the judgment and anger of the Lord,
the punishment it was also prepared,
that should follow
then God began to speak
about his own dear son,
as his anger would swell
for the whole of Adam's descendants.

5. Do we have him who paid,
do we have him who did the fullest
then the law's threat is gone,
Jesus has done it all;
Yes, he even gives us power
to follow the command of the Law,
and God Holy Spirit drives us,
so our work is done in God.

Efeserbrevet 4,17-32

Ephesians 4:17-32

Katekismus / Catechism

Ef. 3,17:
”At Kristus ved troen må bo i jeres hjerter”

1. Kor. 1,9:
”Trofast er Gud, som kaldte jer til fællesskab med sin søn, Jesus Kristus, vor Herre”

Question No. 32: How does the Holy Spirit apply the redemption purchased by Christ to us?

Answer: The Holy Spirit applies the redemption purchased by Christ to us, by working faith in us, and thereby unite us to Christ in our calling.

Ephesians 2,8:
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God

Ephesians 3,17:
So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith

1. Corinthians 1,9:
God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Salme 3 / Hymn no. 3

1. And can it be that I should gain
An interest in the Savior’s blood?
Died He for me, who caused His pain—
For me, who Him to death pursued?
Amazing love! How can it be,
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?
Amazing love! How can it be,
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?

2. ’Tis mystery all: th’Immortal dies:
Who can explore His strange design?
In vain the firstborn seraph tries
To sound the depths of love divine.
’Tis mercy all! Let earth adore,
Let angel minds inquire no more.
’Tis mercy all! Let earth adore;
Let angel minds inquire no more.

3. He left His Father’s throne above
So free, so infinite His grace—
Humbled Himself because of love,
And bled for Adam’s helpless race:
’Tis mercy all, immense and free,
For O my God, it found out me!
’Tis mercy all, immense and free,
For O my God, it found out me!

4. Long my imprisoned spirit lay,
Fast bound in sin and nature’s night;
Thine eye diffused a quickening ray—
I woke, the dungeon flamed with light;
My chains fell off, my heart was free,
I rose, went forth, and followed Thee.
My chains fell off, my heart was free,
I rose, went forth, and followed Thee.

5. No condemnation now I dread;
Jesus, and all in Him, is mine;
Alive in Him, my living head,
And clothed in righteousness divine,
Bold I approach th’eternal throne,
And claim the crown, through Christ my own.
Bold I approach th’eternal throne,
And claim the crown, through Christ my own.

Charles Wesley 1707-1788

Prædiken / Sermon

Luk. 14,15-24.

Luke 14:15-24.

Salme 4 / Hymn no. 4

1. Here is love, vast as the ocean,
Lovingkindness as the flood,
When the Prince of Life, our ransom,
Shed for us His precious blood.
Who His love will not remember?
Who can cease to sing His praise?
He can never be forgotten,
Throughout Heav’n’s eternal days.

2. On the mount of crucifixion,
Fountains opened deep and wide;
Through the floodgates of God’s mercy
Flowed a vast and gracious tide.
Grace and love, like mighty rivers,
Poured incessant from above,
And Heav’n’s peace and perfect justice
Kissed a guilty world in love.

3. Let me all Thy love accepting,
Love Thee, ever all my days;
Let me seek Thy kingdom only
And my life be to Thy praise;
Thou alone shalt be my glory,
Nothing in the world I see.
Thou hast cleansed and sanctified me,
Thou Thyself hast set me free.

4. In Thy truth Thou dost direct me
By Thy Spirit through Thy Word;
And Thy grace my need is meeting,
As I trust in Thee, my Lord.
Of Thy fullness Thou art pouring
Thy great love and power on me,
Without measure, full and boundless,
Drawing out my heart to Thee.

Bøn / Prayer

Afslutningsbøn og velsignelsen

Closing prayer and benediction

Bedemøde / Prayer Meeting

1. What a Friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.

2. Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged; take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness; take it to the Lord in prayer.

3. Are we weak and heavy laden, cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge, take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do your friends despise, forsake you? Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In His arms He’ll take and shield you; you will find a solace there
